Dr. Biswajyoti Hazarika

Dr. Biswajyoti Hazarika has been practicing in the specialized field of Head & Neck surgery for the last 20 years.

His expertise includes surgery for tumors and cancers of the head and neck region, encompassing the oral cavity, nose, paranasal sinuses, larynx, pharynx, salivary glands, thyroid, and parathyroid glands.

He is well-versed in plastic reconstruction of resected areas and in performing endoscopic and minimal access surgeries of the Head & Neck region.

Robotic Head & Neck Surgery is a recent addition to his extensive surgical capabilities.

Dr. Hazarika also focuses on the functional rehabilitation of head and neck cancer patients.

Following his fellowship in Head & Neck Surgery at Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bangalore, he completed his residency at Dr. B. Barooah Cancer Centre, Guwahati. He subsequently worked at Prince Aly Khan Hospital, Mumbai, under Dr. Sultan A. Pradhan, gaining extensive insight into all aspects of Head & Neck Oncology.

In 2009, Dr. Hazarika joined the Department of Surgical Oncology at Max Super Specialty Hospital, Saket, New Delhi, as a Consultant, and in 2013 he became the Head of Department - Head & Neck Surgery, a position he held until August 2016.

He has authored multiple publications in national and international medical journals and contributed chapters to the Atlas of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery.
