About Dr. Devajyoti Guin
Dr. Devajyoti Guin is a qualified Plastic and Reconstructive Microsurgeon with extensive subspecialization in Hand, Brachial Plexus, and Oncoplastic (Cancer Reconstructive) Surgery.
He completed his MBBS from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, followed by MS (General Surgery) and MCh (Plastic Surgery) from St. John’s Medical College, Bengaluru.
Dr. Guin pursued his DNB-SS (Plastic Surgery) and further advanced his expertise through an Oncoplastic Reconstructive Microsurgery Fellowship at Tata Medical Center, Kolkata, where he also served as faculty.
He was awarded the prestigious Ganga Hospital and Johnson & Johnson Fellowship in Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery in 2019, reflecting his excellence in microsurgical and upper limb reconstruction.
Dr. Guin is passionate about restoring upper limb function in adult and pediatric patients with brachial plexus and peripheral nerve injuries.
He has advanced training in complex hand trauma, replantation, congenital deformity correction, sarcoma and skin malignancy reconstruction, and lymphedema management. His multidisciplinary approach combines aesthetics, function, and innovation.
Beyond surgery, Dr. Guin is also the founder of ‘PlaRecon’, an educational plastic surgery website, and contributes to medical illustration and web design for scientific publications.
